It was a pleasure hearing and speaking with you at the New Life Expo in Ft. Lauderdale. You spoke from the heart and were consciously present during your lecture. As mentioned I do very much recommend that you read “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. If there was ever a book that transmitted the truth in absolute clarity this is the one. I conduct public speaking for a living as you can see from my youtube video at the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIIbie_dY7s. I would love to find out more about noetic sciences and how I would be able to use my public speaking abilities for the cause of promoting awareness and spirituality. I feel that is my calling, but don’t know how to get into that. Blessings to you.

As I write this I am still amazed that when you need to hear something at the right moment how it truly WAKES you up. Hi, Lisa—I really enjoyed hearing you speak at the Berkeley IANDS (International Association of Near Death Studies) meeting on Feb.15th. I would have loved to hear more about your life!
I was wondering if you think that IONS would be willing to invite William Buhlman, author of Adventures Beyond the Body and The Secret of the Soul to present one of his workshops. His work on mastering out-of-body experiences (OBEs)definitely fits perfectly with IONS mandate to “sponsor leading-edge research into the potentials and powers of consciousness”.

I have no affiliation with him and have never attended one of his workshops, but I would love to if he came to the Bay Area.
His books are remarkable for revealing the degree of control and the type of knowledge that he has gained from forty years of personal OBEs and from his informal survey which about 14,000 people from 42 countries have filled out about their own OBEs.

I am delighted to have found your blog, with its richly textured posts! I was an IONS community coordinator in San Luis Obispo for 12 years, but turned over that baton because my husband has a strong travel bug. I wanted to make the travel meaningful so I have woven my travel observations of the power of cultural images with much I have learned about healing and with information from IONS and other researchers vision of consciousness, to write a book just published, Armchair Travel to Heal the Planet. Writing it was a major task, but marketing is even more of a challenge! So I really appreciated your post about resting in the confidence of your Higher Self, your many lived essence (my paraphrase).
Finding and reading your blog renews my energy and my faith in the synchronistic, particularly since I resonate with you on many levels, for example your posts on connected with your aunt who passed. More than 20 years ago I “lost” a 9 year old son who was my mentor and spiritual teacher in many ways, far more naturally psychic than I am, and a tease. As I write this I hear him chuckle, “You’re the one that gets lost, Mom, not me!” He has explained several things to me about communication with the beyond and the obstacles we put in the way. My son’s passing started my husband’s travel bug, and I try to go along with is as a form of detachment and learning path.
I also enjoyed your post about letting psychic visions manifest over time at their own pace. I get glimpses but I don’t see the whole path, so I grope my way forward at times wondering if the visions are real, then what are the steps on the path? For example, I did extensive past life regression work, both sorting through my own lives and training to do regressions. I am a licensed psychotherapist and know that I am generally liked and trusted in the community. I put out the word that I am available to do past life regressions, but rarely does someone come forward for that service, though there is a ready supply of people who come for marriage counseling, anxiety reduction, etc – but who give me the strong vibe that they are not open to exploring past lives. I can only guess that the timing is not right.
I am glad you have the post you have at IONS, because survival of consciousness is my favorite IONS research topic. One of my pet theories is that when survival of consciousness becomes common knowledge people will understand better the implications of their choices and humans will make a big leap toward heart centered living.
